56k Modem Issues

Q: I’ve been having some trouble with the connection speeds through my 56k modem. As far as I know, it should be connecting at a much faster speed than it is. Also, occasional disconnects are really starting to frustrate me. Any suggestions?

A: When my Internet connection starts moving at a slower pace than usual, I panic. I’m so accustomed to fast speeds, and with the amount of information that I go through on a single day, if I don’t have a snappy connection, my workday will be seriously prolonged.
