If you have configured your computer to use CTRL+ALT+DEL for logging on, the log on dialog box will appear when you start the computer. This dialog box will remain on your computer screen for 15 minutes. If a user does not log on during this time, the default log on screen saver will kick in. You can change the default log on screen saver by editing the registry.
- Click Start and click Run.
- Type in regedt32 and click OK.
- Expand the following: HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop.
- Double click SCRNSAVE.EXE.
- Change the Value data to the name of the screen saver you want to use.
- Click OK.
- Close the Registry Editor.
Keep in mind that the screen saver you want to use must be in the Windows\System32 directory.
