Turning Off Automatic Image Resizing In Internet Explorer 6

Internet Explorer 6.0 includes a feature called Automatic Image Resizing. This means that Internet Explorer will automatically adjust the size of pictures to fit within your browser so you don’t have to scroll up and down to view the entire image. The downside of this is that the quality of certain graphics may be reduced.

You can resize the graphic by hovering your mouse pointer over the lower right corner of the graphic. Another option is to disable Automatic Image Resizing to revert to full sized images and view them in their original format. To do so:

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Click Tools and select Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Clear the check box beside the option to Enable Automatic Image Resizing
