Reading is one of the greatest lessons a child can learn. But in this day and age of high tech toys and entertainment, it can be hard to get a young person interested in a low tech item such as a book. But with today’s site, it is possible to do both and have some fun along the way. Even though Christmas is just over, and many of us are still on holiday vacation, it is a perfect time to curl up with a good book (especially if it’s really cold outside).

Called BookAdventure, this is a site that encourages children to read. By registering here, they can win prizes by reading books. With the help of a parent or teacher who monitors the online account, children can search for books that interest them in a variety of ways, such as by age, area of interest, author, or grade level.
