Change Your Search Companion

When you open the Search Companion, you’ll notice that you have a little animated character there to assist you in your search. By default, the animated character is a dog. If you do not like this feature, you do have the option of turning it off. Alternatively, if you are a fan of the search companion, you may want to spice things up and change the animated character.
You can open the Search Companion by clicking the Search button within My Computer or you can also click Search from the Start button. If you click on the animated character, a small menu will appear. If you want to change the animated character, select the option to Choose a different animated character. Unfortunately you do not have many to choose from. You can disable this feature entirely by selecting Turn off the animated character.

My search companion menu is completely gone I click Start–>Search and there is nothing after that except the window with the left side blue and search companion at the top.

I have been trying to get my search companion back, lost it when comcast put a new home page on my computer. I love search companion can you help me get it back.

I like locker gnome and I wish tech tv and call for help and the screensavers still existed . Do you think microsoft will force me to switch to internet explorer 7 ? I like the characters in search companion and I wish there was more choices . I also like windows xp and hope that I can keep it for a decade or so . It does what I need now . And don’t want the extra stuff of vista . With the economy , gas etc so troubling I need to save money since my wages are not increasing as fast as computer etc costs are increasing . How is alley , cat I saw on the today show ? How is Jessica Corbin and also that mod dude Patrick Leo Laporte etc ? kgsheets2013@aol.com Adios
