It’s almost a natural feeling for the average consumer to hate big businesses. We always seem to have a harder time with trying to get them to listen to our feedback and help us out. The whole faceless entity aspect of business really starts to come into play, and that’s a sad thing for both of the parties that are involved. If you had to name a technology company that resembles the comments above, you’d most likely shout out “Microsoft” from the rooftops. People love to hate Microsoft - that’s just a fact of life. Whatever your reasons are for looking down on Microsoft, there is a resource that you should definitely check out. Tune your browser to Channel9.
Channel9 consists of a group of Microsoft employees who are trying their best to develop a closer bond between Microsoft and its customers. The idea is genius, and it really does give you a closer look at the people behind the software. You’ll encounter video tours of the offices, watch interviews with some of the key people involved in development, and you’ll even get a chance to talk back in the forums. They really want to listen to what we – the everyday users – have to say about them. This virtual think tank is truly a breath of fresh air, and you’ll probably walk away with a deeper amount of respect for the Redmond giant.
