In regards to entertainment, we are usually eager to discuss topics such as movies, music, and video games. However, one often-overlooked area of entertainment is the theatre. There’s a common stereotype that implies that theatre is both boring, and only for a certain type of mocha latte sipping individual. This presumption is extremely close-minded. Case in point: Broadway. Sure, there are a lot of horrible productions out there, but Broadway shows represent the best of the best. I didn’t quite know what to expect when I attended my first Broadway play, but when I walked out of that theatre, I could not believe what I had just witnessed. The entire production was awe inspiring, and the energy expended on stage was contagious. When you think of Broadway, you can’t help but think about Playbill.
This smallish magazine covers all of the theatre topics that you would like to know about. The site also resembles the magazine by offering news and show info. Read what Playbill has to say about what’s out there, and then use their site to find a show that you’re interested in. You can even purchase tickets to a large number of shows here, making it your one stop shop for everything Broadway. So, what are you going to see?
