Jelly Bean Video Games

You can’t have enough jelly beans, I say - and so does this boy’s blob. Punch jellybeans, Licorice jellybeans, strawberry, apple, root beer, coconut… ketchup!? It takes a lot of jelly beans to make your blob do its blob thing. I remember buying this old NES cartridge and playing it for about ten minutes. Whoever figured out this sequence of jelly beans must’ve lost years of his life. I can’t really compare that to the money I wasted. Too bad it didn’t come with real jelly beans. Er, jellybeans.

On the subject of jelly bean flavors, the Jelly Belly folks have a method to their madness:

Before an introduction, a new Jelly Belly bean is subjected to a Critic Session and Tasting Party. These sessions bring top management and employees together to submit opinions. The proposed new Jelly Belly bean is rated by flavor, color, texture of the center, appearance and thickness of the shell. When we reach an enthusiastic consensus, we release a new flavor to the public.

As long as they never release a “blob flavor,” I’m okay with their routine.
