Pong Solo

How many of you still play Pong on a regular basis? Anyone? Let’s face it – that game was a lot of fun back in the day, but most people aren’t willing to virtually volley a ball back and forth anymore. I mean, you may as well just go outside and play tennis. The good news is that the next generation of Pong is here, and it adds many new features to the classic game. One remake worth mentioning in particular is Pong Solo.

In this remake, you’ll be up against three computer opponents. This makes things a little livelier, and the AI will force you to stay on your toes. The game also adds powerups and other obstacles that you’ll have to work with. At certain times during the game, you can even fire ammo. How’s that for redefining the game of Pong? Pong Solo offers a bunch of customization options that you can use to tweak everything to exactly the way you like it. The music and sound effects are rather nice, and I especially enjoyed the heckling option. There’s just nothing like hearing your opponents trash talk you. I must admit that the game did provide a good amount of fun gameplay, and who knows, you may become addicted to Pong… again.
