Watch For Your Watch

What time is it? Time to visit the Nerd Watch Museum. Dorks and dweebs alike will appreciate the fine array of Casio, Texas Instruments, Seiko products on display. And it’s all digital, baby! Calculator watches used to be fashionable when I was younger. At least, they were fashionable for gadget freaks. If it wasn’t LCD, it just wasn’t for me.

Our collection spans hundreds of models, dozens of manufacturers and infinite gadgetry. Since your hosts are of the LCD generation, rather than LED, liquid crystal display models have been the focus of our collecting. Many LCD timepieces played an important role in the evolution of digital wristwear, and we are striving to present as many as possible in our virtual museum.

As much as I love looking at ‘em, I don’t wear timepieces. Either there’s a clock on the wall, or someone nearby who can tell me in fuzzy fashion. “Time to get a watch?” No, just time to find something that won’t bother my wrist all day long.
