National Geographic

Lewis and Clark, Christopher Columbus, and Marco Polo are individuals that we think of when it comes to exploring. Their travels were undoubtedly mesmerizing, and the stories they had to tell must have been unparalleled. The sights, the sounds, and the culture that they witnessed surely had an effect on their lives. Fast-forward to our day, where exploring has taken on a new connotation – channel surfing. Even though we may be chained to our La-Z-Boy, we can still take in the sights of the world. National Geographic has had a deep impact on how we feel about the world, and their Web site just goes to show this to an even greater extent.

Most of us have probably seen the magazine at one time or another, and were likely blown away by its information. The stories are fantastic, and the pictures are unforgettable. The National Geographic Web site just takes the beloved content of their magazine online. You’ll find the same content that has kept you in awe throughout your entire life. Some great multimedia can be found here, and it’s presented in a way that you have come to expect from National Geographic. Viewing this site has made me want to subscribe to the magazine again. That’s really saying something.
