Auctioning My Life

Auctions are all the rage – especially this time of year. We’re all looking for a bargain or two before the Holiday season goes into full swing. eBay, of course, leads the pack – but Yahoo! Auctions is not to be overlooked. Which one do I use? Well, since I goofed and forgot to log into my eBay account for a couple of months, I got a negative feedback mark on my record. Still, we’ve got our own auctions site to promote – which has proven to be another good way to get to (potentially) cool stuff. Instead of going through an official bidding process, I’m doing what I did a few months ago: post a few items for sale and going the silent bidding route. Will you buy? If you see something you want, need, like, or crave, let me know ASAP:

My current city doesn’t really use Craig’s List to buy much, unfortunately. If I don’t get much interest in the next few days, I’ll probably end up posting something over there. I broke the cardinal rule of auctions, I know: I didn’t take any pictures to accompany my pitch. There’s not much to see here, however. Not that I couldn’t or won’t do it for interested parties, but I’m going for the most efficient method first. I even have bonus stuff lying around here that I might throw in for giggles (like tons of tech books just sitting on my shelves). Make a reasonable offer or two and I’ll likely throw in an autographed copy of my first book on e-mail publishing. How’s that for value? Okay, so it isn’t worth much – but I’m relatively anxious to sell most of this stuff. Don’t go to the malls this shopping season – stay inside and buy gear from a geek.
