Mailbox Cleanup

  • No Related Post

There is nothing worse than a disorganized mailbox. Well, maybe there are a few things worse than this, but it certainly ranks right up there. With the amount of time people now spend in Outlook (and considering that many of us now use e-mail as our main form of communication), mailboxes can quickly become a complete mess.

For those of you who are just like me and have an out of control mailbox, you can alleviate some of the problem using the Mailbox Cleanup tool included with Outlook 2002. It is just a little feature that you can use to clean up your mailbox a little bit so it isn’t such a scary place.

You can begin using the tool by opening Outlook and selecting Mailbox Cleanup from the Tools menu. The Mailbox Cleanup dialog box will appear and you can use it to manage the size of your mailbox as well as delete/move items, empty the deleted items folder, and move items to an archive file.
