Word 2002 includes a new language translator that you can use to translate single words into different languages. The translation options include:

• English (U.S.) to French (France)
• English (U.S.) to Spanish (Spain-modern sort)
• French (France) to English (U.S.)
• Spanish (Spain-modern sort) to English (U.S.)

To access the translator, select the word you want to translate, select Tools | Language | Translate. The Translate pane will appear. Since you are translating a single word, make sure that Current selection is selected. Use the drop down arrow under Dictionary to select the language and click Go. The translations will appear under Results. If there are multiple results available, select one and click the Replace button. The word in your document will then be changed to your selection.
