I recently wrote an article explaining the steps you had to perform in order to back up your data in Outlook Express. Unfortunately, it isn’t as easy as it is in Outlook. In any case, many of you responded that you were having problems locating the folder where Outlook Express stores your message. So here is what you have to do to find that folder:

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Click the Tools menu and click Options.
3. From the Options dialog box, click the Maintenance tab.
4. You should see a button called Store Folder as shown in the figure. Click the Store Folder button.
5. The Store Location dialog box will appear listing the current location of the Store Folder.
6. You can write down the location or right click the path and click Select All. Press CTRL + C to copy the path. You can the paste the location into a file so it’s easy to locate the folder.
7. Click OK to close the Store Location Dialog box.
8. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
