Virtual Bombard

Modern games are so focused on intense action that you usually don’t even have to think about what you’re doing. Running around while holding down the trigger button often proves to be the best strategy for most games. Some of us actually prefer to think about and plan our moves before we make them. If turn based combat is more your style, give Virtual Bombard a go.
This game is reminiscent of the classic Gorilla game that sucked away large doses of our time. The whole idea of the game is that two tanks are placed on random terrain, and your goal is to destroy the other tank. Sound familiar? When it’s your turn, you’ll have to factor in the wind, elevation, and velocity to try to figure out how you need to position your canon to make an impact. The graphics are simple, but the ability to move around the map and zoom in and out helps you to get a good survey of the land. Virtual Bombard will be a little boring if you’re the only one playing (due to no computer opponent), but it’s still fun to play a game where you have to plan your shot before you shoot.
