If you happen to be one of those people who have never discovered Microsoft’s Powertoys, then you’re in for a treat. Check out Windows XP Powertoys for some really cool add-ons to WinXP that are free.

I am particularly fond of the ClearType Tuner. If you have an LCD display, it’s a must. I also rather like the Alt-Tab Replacement.

There’s also what Microsoft calls PowerToys Fun Pack. It’s got a wallpaper changer for Windows XP.

While Microsoft says, “The PowerToys are not supported by Microsoft Corporation.” I have not personally experienced major issues with any of them.

Just go to Microsoft and search for PowerToys. They have them for Pocket PC, IE, Media Player and all the various operating systems.
