Looking under the hood of your computer will reveal a host of processes that are taking up cycles on your machine. Granted, many of these processes are essential for a smooth-running PC, but it’s no secret that some of the processes in your list are nonessential to say the least. Several of them can even be involved with viruses, spyware, and Trojans. This process list can be bewildering to anyone who happens to stumble upon it. Instead of just going click-crazy and ending all of the processes, it’s important to understand what needs to stay, and what needs to go. For a list of process information, visit ProcessLibrary.
This site allows you to directly search for a specific process. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to go through your process list and use ProcessLibrary to see what each one is doing. A good amount of helpful information accompanies the process, and even more important, you’re told what kind of security risk the process possesses. Say that three times fast. FYI, a DLL library is also a part of this site. When you’re curious about what the possessive processes are processing, visit ProcessLibrary. You can just call me Dr. Seuss.
