I recently installed a marvelous laminate floor in the kitchen and laundry room here at ranchero indebto. (And I completed the task all by my D-I-Y lonesome self.) Kudo’s on doing the work yourself and finding a smarter way to work instead of working harder! Making a diagram using the computer or just a pencil and some graph paper always helps installation go smoother. Out of curiosity though, did you use wood grain laminate or laminate that looks like tile? I ask because you referred to the planks as tiles, so it piqued interest.
