Ninty per cent of programmers should be shot. The deep dark secret is that most programmers aren’t any good. I learned that working as one myself for over 30 years, I spent a great deal of my time fixing other peoples code. As far as outsourcing programming is concerned, my ex-company did with a project with a Ukrainian company. The code was awful as far as our guy who was watching over them was concerned. He’s one of those “good” programmers and I trusted his judgement. They wound up hopelessly behind with the schedule for the project. Don’t know how it turned out because my 10 programmer group was laid off and I lost interest in what was going on there after that.
