Quickly Closing Multiple Windows

If you use the Internet but do not have any software running that will block pop-ups, you have probably visited a Web site only to sit back and watch as window after window continues to appear. The neat thing is you don’t even have to do anything, they just automatically pop up.

Of course you can sit there and manually close all the annoying intrusions as they invade your desktop and watch as more appear. Or you can use a simple keystroke that will close the open windows. By pressing CTRL + W, the active window will be closed. The nice thing about this keystroke is that it won’t close all the open windows (you may actually want to view some of them still). Or if you want to close all open windows, right click the group of Web pages on the task bar and click Close Group. [Diana Huggins]
