The smiley face has done a lot for our Internet life. Need proof? Just try to avoid the onslaught of happy face emoticons in e-mail, instant messaging, and the Web. You can even use a smiley graphic as the sole content of an e-mail reply. They can get the point across in a very brief but adequate way. Is it so wrong for people to be happy?
