The Unofficial Gettysburg Visitors Guide

  • No Related Post

This month marks the 141st anniversary of a battle that is synonymous with all that is bad about war. It is also one of the most famous battles of all time. Like Waterloo, Guadalcanal, and Bunker Hill, its history has transcended the war in which it was fought. I am referring to the Battle of Gettysburg.

The Gettysburg Unofficial Visitors Site is an interesting collection about the battle. Here you find not only the historical events and sites such as the Devil’s Den, Little Round Top, and Picket’s Charge, but you also find out about the little known facts. Find out about John Burns, Elizabeth Thom, and Jennie Wade and their contributions to the battle. There is information about Civil War re-enactors, and the events of the 135th anniversary.
