Comcast Buys NBC – No One Cares

There should be an image here!Don’t believe for a minute that most people care about Comcast buying NBC. Seriously, who possibly would outside of shareholders and people in charge of either company? But I do think folks should care about one aspect of things.

GE is realizing that owning a network, a brand, means NOTHING in the world of media. Either you have a product, service or content people want – or you don’t. What space it is located in, means nothing these days.

Comcast apparently, also is beginning to realize this. And perhaps overtime, will stop flooding their copper with crappy stations no one actually wants and begin exploring content outside of their own network only. Such as content portals like Hulu, available over the Web. Anything is possible.

The lack of newsworthiness of the once iconoclastic network is disturbing.

    Just my opinion.
