Google Is On The Hunt For Yahoo Talent

Not entirely sure why this makes a lot of sense? While I can see Google seeking out other levels of talent from Yahoo, I am not really sure “search” is an area I would be recruiting for in the Yahoo space if I was Google?
So while Google recruiting these guys makes zero sense to me, Ask.com on the other hand does make for one hell of an argument for such a thing. Because Ask.com is more at the same level as Yahoo with the quality of search results vs say Google, I see hiring ex-Yahoo employees for this company’s goals as making the most sense.
And finally, even if Google and Ask manage to attract some of the newly laid off from Yahoo, Microsoft will likely be picking up the rest for Bing. Considering the state of the current economy, I think that Ex-Yahoo employees would best working on the Bing project anyway.
