Amazon Not Impressed By Google’s Book Offer

While I can understand where Amazon is coming from, at the same time i think that Amazon needs to really consider the following - Google/Amazon working together at any level only works to benefit both companies in the long haul.

Yes, I think it was not cool that Google was able to scan books without permission, but I would still not rule out the idea of working with them based strictly on reach. Hell, even based on pure greed, Amazon is not wise to ignore a chance at earning a bit more green working with Google here.

At the end of the day, Amazon and Google are both getting a little too big for their britches. Yet despite this I do not see any likely startups coming along to change things up in which to give smaller competitors a chance to do what Amazon and Google clearly have no intention of doing - working on getting more books into our hands.
