I honestly am still totally unclear as to what Carol Bartz has actually done FOR Yahoo since taking on the rule as its chief? Yes, she has totally rolled over to Microsoft. And they continue to lose money like it’s going out of style last time I looked. But no problem, they are going to leverage Bing somehow….right.
I am among the first to admit that Bartz has an impressive history of turning companies around. But for the love of Pete, you can only polish a turd so much before your fingers start turning brown.
There is a chance, be a slim one, that Bartz can turn Yahoo into the next AOL ad serving nightmare. But I am going to say this once again. I have yet to see her do anything that is leading me to believe that her plans for the once powerful portal are going to generate anything short of more financial woe.
