YouTube UI Upgrades

It this kind of YouTube user homepage tweak does nothing for something that is a problem for YouTube – monetizing traffic. So it’s great that users will be able to react in a new way to what they are seeing.

Complete with new theming, YouTube has certainly done wonders for making the end user look at the video broadcaster in a whole new light. And to be fair, the old design was rather boring.

But at the end of the day, I find myself asking whether or not we really have a strong case for the new masthead alone. Without taking monetization into the mix, I cannot help but feel like this is basically wasted real estate.
