Razorfish Goes Elsewhere And Microsoft Moves On
Never really got why Microsoft had their own ad agency in the first place. Just looking at some of their more recent commercials would lead me to think think that MS is better off rethinking most of the ad strategy anyway.
As a matter of fact, I am not sure what what the point of owning Razorfish was in the first place? Either way, it appears to be resolved now that Microsoft has sold them off. One thing is for sure, I hope this was not the agency responsible for the initial Vista launch…yikes, that was a mess.
So does this open up Microsoft for potentially buying into new ad agencies? Not likely. No, I see their efforts being more involved in building up services around Windiws 7 and then promoted throughout that operating system instead.
