Rocking With HTML5

Now that Chrome, along with a number of other browsers are offering HTML5 technology, I find myself wondering about the future of Flash for video. Speaking for Chrome specifically, I see little advantage over Chrome from Firefox…but perhaps user needs vary here? So I choose not to speak for everyone.

At this stage in the game, I am having a hard time feeling much Chrome love. Nothing against the browser, but outside of a slight speed improvement over the competition, I am still not convinced that Firefox is about to be dethroned anytime soon. If it was to happen, Opera would have won out a long time ago.

On the flipside, Chrome does have speed on its side. And as it rolls out of Beta at some point, it is possible that there could be a shift in it being used by select tech types to being seen as mainstream as Firefox is today. Remember, it was not all that long ago that Firefox was considered to be an unknown browser.
