Is Going Stealth The Best Approach To A Search Engine Pre-Launch?

There should be an image here! With all of the failed search engines out their today, fighting for a tiny piece of a big market, i find myself wondering what is up with all of the secrecy concerning Blekko? Yes, fine, they don’t want to be evaluated poorly before they are ready to go live. Especially from cynical folks such as myself.

All of this aside though, it is possible that Blekko is planning on doing something clever that will enable to define a real niche for their efforts. Anything is possible. And with them opting to keep things so quiet, they will also be able to build up lots of hype surrounding the speculation of what might be. Again, clever.

So what will it be? A new way of doing absolutely nothing new? Perhaps instead, we will finally see evidence that there are still people out there capable of developing the next Google? Only time will tell at this point.

I think this is a neat idea.  Being able to see all of the things you have posted on Facebook in the past is something that I think people will think is cool.
