Is Your Twitter Account Verified?
It’s something that I for one, am finding of interest. It seems that due to the issue of faked Twitter accounts, often used by sly impersonators, Twitter has dealt with the problem by allowing some elite users to claim their identities before someone else does.
What makes this all the more interesting, is that this claim is able to take place through Twitter with a badge claiming the authenticity of the user is accurate. So while this is helpful in dealing with impersonation, it still leaves bigger issues unchecked.
The bigger issue at hand is definitely spam, something Twitter has done nothing to stop. Worse, is the fact that scams are really making their way through the Twitter-sphere. Dealing with the impersonation issue is great, but I would hardly put as much importance on things as I would scams and spam.

They seem to have a focus on saving the few ($) to spite the masses. #TwitterSpamSucks !
