If there was one missing ability of Google News Search, it had to be the option of finding other articles by the same author by simply clicking the hyper link of the name given. Today, this issue has been resolved.
This functionality goes even further as you can queue up alerts via RSS or email, for the author as new article are posted. Very helpful when trying to stay up on the latest work from specific writers!
Now the down side of things. Sadly, it appears that the blog search does not offer this functionality. Perhaps it is coming later on, but for now, it looks like a non-starter in the blogging space. This being said, the biggest problem I have with the author query is that it is unable to differentiate between me and Matt Hartley from the Globe and Mail. I think I speak for us both when I ask Google to fix this - pronto.
