Amazon’s Bezos Is Not Thrilled About Google’s Book Search

Clearly, for Amazon, the idea of Google going full speed ahead into the world of publishing is not something that they are all that thrilled about. And considering Amazon’s dominance in this area, who could blame them.

It seems to me that Amazon is feeling the heat over Google’s Book Search as Amazon is looking to attempt bringing on every book ever printed into the world of the Kindle DX. A fine idea to be sure, but as far as I am concerned, I’d rather be able to access the books without having to buy some ridiculously priced book reader. Call me old fashioned I guess.

To be totally fair though, it should be noted that the Kindle is doing quite well at the moment. So even with Google Book Search getting into its full swing, I am not all that sure I would say that Amazon should feel threatened by Google here. In my mind, I see this as two completely different markets.
