Taking Your Bing Search With You

There should be an image here!No matter how hard I might try, I cannot resist calling Bing, Bling. It just seems to fit better for whatever reason. Well that and the term “Bling” might be a tighter fit for Bing’s new mobile search.

Finding Bing Mobile is very straight forward. Just point your mobile browser m.bing.com. From there, search until your heart’s content. It’s generally a smooth experience, despite having mixed results on my queries. That has not changed.

What bothers me most about using Bing is the obvious favoritism towards some sources over others. For instance, linking to my Facebook account over my own domain name that is USING MY NAME as the Dot com. Clearly, no skewed results toward Facebook at all. And this is just one of many examples.

I found the streaming plan and dvd plans complement each other. The limited selection of
streaming movies and tv shows is supplemented well with the larger selection of
titles available on dvd. While you’re waiting for a dvd to come in the mail you
have the streaming to fall back on.

Separately I don’t think they can stand on their own. With them separated Amazon can get
instant video apps for iDevices, Android, and Game Consoles (+ “free” 2 day shipping on everything). Blockbuster’s mail services (which already offer games) could make a comeback. Netflix could find themselves losing their edge and becoming irrelevant very quickly.
