Hulu Desktop Leaves A Lot Of Unanswered Questions

There should be an image here!Honestly, Hulu’s logic escapes me sometimes. But regardless of how I might feel about further looping people into a 1990′s way of doing things with an installable application.

What the people behind Hulu need to realize is that it was Hulu NOT acting like Netflix and forcing people to use stuff like Silverlight. Providing content with Flash, across all three major computing platforms is what made Hulu the raging success that it is today.

As for tomorrow, well, that is something for Hulu to decide. Either go the way of newspapers, taking control out of the hands of people who want nothing more than to enjoy the content provided. Mark my words though, Hulu will kill off the web service. Why? International users and the bogus proxy usage has apparently, not made any fans amongst US advertisers. I suspect that by switching to installed software, Hulu will let DRM roll forward and ensure that you will be watching only from regions authorized to enjoy Hulu.

Region restrictions is one of the big reasons for why there’s so many pirates out there, so much content, especialy tv, never gets available in some countries or it takes years b4 they release tv-series on dvd. region free dvd players is stone age when you can download a “region free” copy online. the copyright holders of tv is is living in the stone age and they want to stop use of technology that is already here.

    Yes, half…

OK, that was easy, and not totally truthful. Apple has real ideas, just as anyone. Maybe less than Google (and certainly more than Microsoft), but they still do.

No one can deny that their strength mostly derive from their ability to catch technology and ideas just as they become mature and ripe and make them into a shiny product we all want.
