Despite the fact that Twitter is hardly the only real time micro-blogging format out there, it is clearly becoming the most popular. With the exception of Facebook status functionality, no one else appears to be able to touch Twitter on overall usage.

And with that level of user-ship, Twitter is said to become a usable tool for real time search queries. I respond by saying that it has a long ways to go. Yet that said, it does present some interesting possibilities for the near future.

Twitter, as it stands now, is a great means of sharing and communicating. But I still think it is going to take some better results than we are seeing currently before I find myself doing regular search queries with it. Just call me an old school kind of guy.
