LiveSearch Has Nothing To Do With Microsoft

When you think of LiveSearch.com, chances are pretty good you are thinking of Microsoft. But what if I was to tell you that LiveSearch.com had nothing at all to do with Microsoft? It’s true. The actual owner of LiveSearch.com currently resides in Bothell, WA (less than a 100 miles away from me) and has received a number of offers for the website over the years.
Has Microsoft ever offered the site’s owner cash for the domain? One can only speculate at some point, via one of their proxies, they have. But good luck proving it especially being each offer received has been turned down cold.
What really got my attention was the turn down offer for $200,000. Clearly, ad revenue must be good for this website if someone is feeling flush enough to turn down that kind of “fundage”! I mean, that is two hundred large we are talking about here…for a domain!
