Is your Facebook app ready for the relaunch? Hopefully it is, as they will be relaunching the directory here pretty soon. As this article explains, it is almost like Facebook has opted to take a page from Apple’s iPhone app store recently.
On the flip-side, I am with those who feel strongly that this is really needed. There can be little question that such a directory refresh is going to be helpful for weeding out the junk apps and even just helping to make sure everyone is in the best section possible for their own good.
Will there be any negative affects? I certainly hope not. But at this point, despite the clamp down on control, I can see only good things happening here. The real key however, will be that developers are making sure that they are ready for the big switch over to the new directory style.
