TV Content Providers Finally Get It?

internet-tvCould it be that finally, the content producers in the TV industry are beginning to “get it”? Are they finally beginning to understand that we are indeed, willing to pay for the content that we enjoy, however we are not interested in viewing it ONLY on approved devices or with heavily regulated platforms?

Based on the article I am seeing here, it is beginning to look that way. As the streaming industry, lead by the likes of Hulu.com amongst others continue to push the evelope with the TV industry’s blessing, one can only surmise it is golden meadows from here on out.

What is also comical about the above linked piece, is that we see it presented as a huge revelation that people want the content they are seeking…on their terms. Really? How is this news? I mean, did the TV industry need to pay someone a ridiculous amount of money to figure this out? If so, maybe I am wrong and maybe the success of services such as Hulu are merely a fluke.

Could it be a coincidence that they’re starting to get it at the same time all of the ISPs are announcing teired services that will cost the end user a bundle if they start streaming net tv? Their monetizing net tv through ISPs and with DPI tech getting better, they’ll be able to determine how much of the money can be kicked back to the content providers if that demand comes.
