New Look For Google Analytics

I have been a fan of Google Analytics for some time now. With the previous look and style it gave to everything, the interface was rather confusing if you didn’t have a college degree in “graphology.” Now though, it looks like it has pushed some of the more confusing features to the back of the class. Altogether, a good stats package has just gotten a little better.
What’s new? Here are a few new features.
- Email and export reports: Schedule or send ad-hoc personalized report emails and export reports in PDF format.
- Custom Dashboard: No more digging through reports. Put all the information you need on a custom dashboard that you can email to others.
- Trend and Over-time Graph: Compare time periods and select date ranges without losing sight of long term trends.
- Contextual help tips: Context sensitive Help and Conversion University tips are available from every report.
All in all it is a nice upgrade all around. If you can’t see the new interface when you login to Google Analytics yet, don’t worry. It seems it is rolling out a preview to everybody - but it is taking some time to do so. You will also be able to view the “old” look as well while the preview version is I guess still in “beta” stage.
