Google Experimental Searching

  • No Related Post

Now for several months I have seen news stories and links come up with folks giving you cookie hacks or Javascript tricks so you can try out some of these new was of surfing and searching that Google is experimenting with. Well now you don’t have to worry about setting everything up just right. Google is offering it to you for free.

All you need to do is hit a link and you can give it a shot. Here are the choices you have right now when you visit the Google Experimental Search Web site.

  • Timeline and map views
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • Left-hand search navigation
  • Right-hand contextual search navigation

So sign yourself up to being a testing monkey for Google - I guess that is the main message to get across here. Out of the options out there right now, I like the left handed search navigation the best thus far. I might spend some time with the other ones though to see how they work for me too.
