One of those wacky new Internet trends is tumblelogging. I promise you it has nothing to do with turning flips or lumberjacks though. Tumblelogs are just like regular blogs, but you don’t have to spend so much time working out all the details of the navigation and features. Instead you focus on posting quick and short posts for the world to view.

One place that makes this very easy to setup and going is Tumblr.com. They provide the back end and all you need to do is come up with the content. I have started on there myself, and I have to say it is really addictive once you get going.

I have seen a lot of tumblelogs while doing just some random browsing as well. I have seen some neat photo related ones. There are some good “random tip” ones out there as well. I think this could be used as a great tool to post quick and short entries on just about any topic.

Is this just another Web trend? Maybe so. Instead of shaking your head at it all though why not give it a shot and have some fun along with the rest of us?
