Google Loves Webmasters

When it comes to giving webmasters love, I think Google is the only search engine out there that does it right. They provide a handful of tools that make working with Google to make your Web site better a very easy process. Have you visited Google’s Webmaster Central lately?

I have to admit, it has been a while since I last visited as well - but they do have a nice selection of tools and links for you to check out. The Site status wizard will let you know if your Web site is being indexed by Google or not. The webmaster tools section gives you the Google Sitemap interface along with a few extra things. The last link there is the Submit your content to Google where you can let Google know where your link lives so they can send the crawlers out to it.

They also have links to the help center, the Google webmaster blog, and Google’s webmaster group. How come more companies and search engines are not giving us this much love? I know for the longest time I have been asked, “How can I make sure Google crawls, likes, links, ect to my Web site?”. Well this might not be the answer to everything - but it is a nice start.
