Hosting More Than One Domain

A lot of Web host these days are allowing their customers to host more than one domain name from their Web hosting plan. Now should you do this? I say it is a great way to get a lot of little Web sites hosted and it is a lot cheaper than buying a separate plan for each one. Then again, I get a lot of my hosting for free because I guess people like me? Haven’t really figured that one out yet.
Back to the subject at hand though, multi-domain hosting is a pretty easy thing to do. Most Web hosts have the option right there for you in the control panel. They often call these addon domains. Now this does not mean you get the domain name registration for free. This only means you get the ability to host the domain name for free.
Does your Web host offer it? Well one way to check and see would be to log into your control panel, check through your menus and see if you notice any link or icon that says “addon domain” or “domain management.” The easier trip to make though would be to call up your hosting support and just ask them if they do or not.
Many do it but some do not - so if this is an option you would like to have open to you then the best thing to do is bug your current Web host to do it. Buy them a Christmas present, or tell them they look pretty. If you haven’t gotten kicked off the server for being too much of an oddball, you are in good shape. For the rest of us though, it might just be time to do a little browsing for a new Web host that does offer this valuable option.

Hey,
Actually I’m in search of that kind of host. Who is yours?
Those who aren’t aware of it, would be much helpful to them.
Thanks for sharing.
