RSS Builder

When it comes to creating your own really simple syndication (or otherwise known as RSS) feed, you can run into a lot of trouble and tribulation if you try to create it on your own. I have to look at Web site code and jargon all day long and I still cannot really make heads or tails of the back end of things. Even if you do understand it, wouldn’t you rather have something else do the heavy lifting for you?

RSS Builder is the perfect free application to get the job done. It has everything you need to get an RSS feed written and publish so your visitors can be updated when new things happen on your Web site. Here is a little more about the program from the developers.

RSS Builder is an easy to use program to create RSS news feeds and podcasts for your web site. It provides a simple interface that lets you add topics, links, content, and enclosures, then publish the RSS (v2.0) feed to your web server, using the built-in FTP client.

Give it a shot and let me know what you think. If you have a better suggestion, leave it in the comments. I would love to give them a shot as well.

a nice little phpclass that builds feeds in different formats (RSS, Atom) is the FeedCreator: http://www.bitfolge.de/rsscreator-en.html An improved version (includes Atom 1.0 and Enclosure) is here:

I hope that’s of interest at all … !

I am partial to FeedForAll http://www.feedforall.com its much more intuitive plus they have a ton of RSS scripts for manipulating feeds.

Feed Editor by ExtraLabs is better than FeedForAll and RSS builder
