The Perfect CSS Layout?

  • No Related Post

When it comes to getting the bare bones of a CSS layout done, some of us might need a little help. Sure you know where you want you content but do you know how to get it there? When I need a really simple and easy basic layout there is only one article that I turn to for the basics.

I guess you could almost call this CSS layouts 101. It seems like the more and more I talk to layout designers, the more it seems that all CSS designs are becoming the standard way of getting things done. Back to the article I mentioned earlier though - you can find it at Strictly CSS. Here is a small example of the goodness it contains.

This article and the example pages are perhaps not the universal answer so the title is maybe a little bit overstated, but hopefully they can make it easier for someone. Furthermore, all the pages are also experiments in how to change a layout without having to use absolute positioning since this take the element out of the page flow.

There you have it. For anybody getting into CSS layout and design for the first time, this is usually the place I point them first. It is a helpful walk through for folks who might not know exactly how to do it but they do know what they want to do.
