Now everybody knows GoDaddy.com is world famous for selling domain names. It seems like more often than not these days though it is trying to expand itself into other areas of the Web. The most recent expansion of Web services included Photo Filer. This new feature offers you another method for sharing photos on the World Wide Web.

Online Photo Filer gives you an online photo album site for sharing unlimited photos, as well as easy-to-use editing tools to make sure your photos look their very best. You can even order high quality prints directly from your album – and have them delivered right to your door!

You will be paying anywhere from $2.39 to $2.99 a month for it, depending on which billing plan you sign up for. Another thing to take note of is that your “unlimited” services are limited to 2.5 GB allocated disk space and 150 GB bandwidth. Yeah, I know that really is not too unlimited but that is a keyword myth that Web hosting has been using to describe services for a long time.

The one thing that I really like is that it is tossing a domain name into the mix. You no longer have to remember a long file path to a picture or to a service; you can just say “go check me out at my domain.” Check out the sample templates and then give it a shot. If you’re a professional, you might want to manage this stuff on your own hosting account. For folks who just want a quick and easy way to look professional, though, I see no reason not to sign up.
