Compare Content Management Systems

Sometimes it is a good idea to get out of our comfort zone; go out and experience new things. No matter if you want to go climb a mountain or try a new back engine for your Web site, it is an important thing to do. Who knows, you might find something you like. One great tool I have found that helps compare all the different content management systems out there is the CMS Matrix.
From that one simple Web site you can compare some of the top content management tools out there today. Just click (at the most) ten check boxes, and hit compare. After you do that, you will be given a table which shows you what each one provides and what it might not provide. Doing these side by side comparisons of the scripts makes it a very easy job to decide which one is the better than the other.
Here is a little more about the project from the Web site.
This site is provided as a community service to everyone interested in looking for a means to manage web site content. Here you can discuss, rate, and compare the various systems available on the market today. This site works because of community involvement. Please rate any systems you’ve used and discuss them in the forums. If you notice any errors, please report them via the feedback form located on each CMS’s listing page.
Now on the bad side, it might be missing a few of my favorites here or there, but the list is a big one - so I see no reason why it might not add more in the future. Before you start that next Web site of yours, be sure to check out the CMS Matrix first.

Thanks for this web site. I like the searching functionality in “Narrow The Matrix” where I can check off the functions that I need and it searches all those CMS to get me the ones I’m interested in.

Picking a CMS…
I do some side-work from time to time — mainly creating small web sites for friends or organizations that aren’t very tech savvy. Usually, the owners of these sites want to edit their own content without constantly harassing me. Well, ok, …
