Web Site Monitoring On The Cheap

Anything that helps monitor your Web site a little easier is a welcome tool to have, correct? I have recently been turned on to a new tool that allows you to get this done with almost no fuss at all. Mon.itor.us provides free Web site monitoring for everybody. Yes, even you in the back with your Pokemon fan site.
Here is a little more information about the service from the developers:
mon.itor.us provides 24 x 7 network and Web site monitoring service with a personalized interactive interface where you can add server performance and availability tests, get uptime reports, and add contacts to get the alert notifications. Tests will be performed from geographically distributed servers. The monitoring will be performed outside of your network firewall and on the application level - that is a big advantage over ISP provided (if they do) network monitoring.
As you can see, for free - it does even more than you would expect it to do. Also with that type of price tag, there is no reason why you should not at least try it out. The service is still in beta, so there might be a bug or two. In the long run though, if it can keep doing what it is doing, it should have a very bright future ahead of it.

Yes, I too use mon.itor.us ans site24×7.com. Both are really good. But i personally fell monitorus is a bit clutterd or site24×7 is simple to set up my new monitors and more over site24×7 offers 10 sms/month free.
